Itinerary: Francigena

San Miniato – Siena: 5 days  (or less, depending on the time dedicated to the cities).

The Francigena Way is part of a group of roads that in the Middle Ages led from Western Europe to Rome and up to Puglia, where pilgrims and crusaders could reach the harbours to leave for the Holy Land.

For those who love trekking and who would like to join this route, it will be possible to walk the way going from San Miniato to Siena, in 4-5 days.
